Dávid Ülkei

Alto sax, soprano sax, tenor sax, clarinet

He started his musical studies at the age of 6 on violin and switched to saxophone at the age of 16. His first teacher was Israeli saxophonist Hovav Israel, later he took private lessons from István Elek and Kristóf Bacsó. In 2007 he was admitted to the jazz faculty of the Academy of Music, where he studied under the tutelage of István Elek and Mihály Borbély. He is currently a member of Daniel Kardos’s quartet, Ferenc Kovács’s Magony, Peter Geszti’s „Gringó Sztár” band and the Modern Art Orchestra.
