KEEP WALKING (KORNÉL FEKETE-KOVÁCS, RUMI) (from the FOUNDATIONS suite)

Tracing back to Foundations: Yamas and Niyamas, Keep Walking is a crossover composition with poetry, translating yogic philosophy in the language of jazz and improvisation.

The composition is based on the contemplative interpretation of Rumi’s poem that is also featured in the composition. This piece is an introduction of BRAHMACHARYA (“WALKING WITH GOD”). Rumi’s poem and the swing groove gives context to the walking bass that is a musical metaphor that refers to the spiritual meaning.
